Here’s my simple clarifying framework for your service:
Who•Why•What•Who(2)•Why(2)•How•When•How Much•Where•What(2)
Before I write more about these points, I want you to know that I wouldn’t jump to advice-giving if I were talking to you in a direct conversation.
I would reflect, find out what you already know, like and feel competent to do, then go from there.
So, this framework is only to help you move a little bit towards clarity… on a wide spectrum of confusion to clarity.
It is another option on your menu of ways to approach this situation.
It is NOT what you “should” or “shouldn’t” do.
Who•Why•What•Who(2)•Why(2)•How•When•How Much•Where•What(2)
Who: Who are you? (Ninja Meal Planner/Accountability partner/ Compassionate Reflector/ Nutrient Counter/ Behaviour Change Counsellor, etc)
Why: Why are you that person? (For example, Let’s go with the first one. You might say- I’m a Ninja meal planner because I LOVE playing with ingredients and recipes, I learnt the steps in my degree or certification or because I did it for xyz or because I …)
What: What problem does it solve for others? (It can give structure to someone’s eating schedule and make eating better less overwhelming —> consequently helping them eat better with less effort —> they become healthier, stronger etc)
Who(2): Who all have this problem that you can easily solve? (Busy professionals, moms, athletes, etc)
Why(2): Why would THEY want to solve it? (Doable, easy quick meal plans= Eating better = Better health = More productivity for busy professionals = Can achieve more = Be more successful = Live longer to enjoy that success OR Zero-effort ready healthy meal plans—> One less task for exhausted Moms—>Eats better—> Feel more energetic etc)
How: How exactly would you solve it? (I will have a 1-hour consultation session with the client on Zoom where I will have this conversation in this way to clarify xyz. Then I will provide one meal plan every X days in Y format via email. Then I will … The endpoint could be that they either have tons of meal plans to refer to anytime or they learn how to plan their meals effortlessly by themselves. Also, be very clear about what popular things you won’t do or ask your clients to do here - for e.g. You won’t give juice diets, You won’t ask them to measure every food on a scale, etc)
When: How long will it take for you to solve this problem for them? (One meal plan - x days. To help them become a meal planning Ninja themselves- 1 year maybe)
How Much: How much would you like to charge for solving this problem? (There are many ways to do this. Some people charge by the hour. I like value-based pricing. So maybe 5-10% of the price that NOT solving this problem would cost them in the long run.
I strongly believe that when someone invests their money in a service, they want to reduce their mental effort or physical effort. Just like how a client hires a personal trainer to reduce their mental effort of planning workouts, figuring out what to do in the gym, worrying about their correct form etc. They save all that mental work. That’s the value they get out of it. Similarly, what is the value of the mental effort that they are reducing by hiring your nutrition services? And add to that the value of the physical effort they are reducing by becoming healthier/energetic because of your services)

I can't afford it! What do I do?“I can’t afford it” - The exact 4 words that pushed me hard to learn the skills and earn enough money so that I don’t have to use them ever again for the things that I really need. It was heartbreaking 💔 I used to cry alone. I couldn’t invest in myself and reach my potential. I knew I had so much more in me but I was so trapped in my own mindset.
